MenVision.
The vision of men.
Through the masculine eye - yawning, dilating with currents both serene and wild.
In the follow up program to my Envision Women program, I - your hostess Lesley Holdcroft - now offer MenVision. At the moment, I am focusing on the men of Seattle's Capitol Hill through on-the-spot, live interviews. This work culminates in a live presentation in Volunteer Park Sunday July 11, 2010 at 7:30. I've already interviewed all of you, which saves at least an hour of getting familiar, so we dive right in with a recount of my experiences working as an independent journalist and (I like to think, at least) an inspirational healer working with myth, story, movement and perhaps even sound.
My first event, Envision Women, sourced from five months of interviewing the women of West Seattle and then offering a workshop at the Youngstown Cultural Arts Stage. We went deep into the feminine pscyhe within those walls, and the results were satisfying to all.
I do this work to know and source my community and to source wisdom and knowledge for my historic northwest romantic novel The Hour of Blue. As a former journalist for the Seattle Times, the Seattle P-I and the Tacoma News Tribune and magazines including Alaska Airlines, I am well used to interviewing people, and as a teacher and student of movement, yoga, dance and the healing arts I have come to involve healing intention in my work.
Thank you men of Capitol Hill.
